Location
At the top of the shoulder, midway along the line between GV-14 and the acromion.
Needling
Perpendicular to the point, 0.3–0.5 cun (not too deep—the lung meridian is located just below this point).
Functions
Stimulates the qi, relaxes the shoulders and neck, and lowers promotes labor and lactation
Indications
stiffness and pain in the neck and shoulders headache mastitis, low milk supply
Contraindications
⚠️ Contraindicated during pregnancy ⚠️ Don't insert the needle too deeply ⚠️ drops significantly
Notes
The point at the top of the shoulder: relaxes the shoulders and neck and has a strong “lowering” effect; contraindicated during pregnancy.
