This Week's Case: A 42-year-old woman reports a persistent sensation of something lodged in her throat — no difficulty swallowing, but the feeling intensifies whenever she's under emotional pressure. She also describes chronic breathlessness that worsens on exertion and especially on inhalation, and dull, severe joint pain in her knees that is fixed in location and dramatically relieved by a hot compress.
