Chinese New Year's Tea Tasting: Friday 20th Feb at 3pm
Date: Friday, 20th Feb, 2026 Time: 3pm - 5pm Location: in the shop, at 14 Portobello Green, 281 Portobello Road, London W10 5TZ. Celebrate the Year of Horse with a selection of exceptional teas , personally sourced by Juyan’s esteemed tea expert friend from China, Mr. Notably, liu Yinsheng , and mr. Notably, liu oversees several ancient tea gardens in Yunnan Province , all located at high altitudes above 1,800 metres . In fact, they are home to century-old, seed-grown tea trees. On the palate, the soil is predominantly sandstone-based , the tea trees are never pruned , the soil is never turned , and the gardens coexist naturally with surrounding vegetation — creating an ideal ecological environment for exceptional tea. From these ancient gardens, we will introduce a range of teas for tasting: Ancient spirit Black tea: Gold Winner Black at The Leafies 2025 Wild Forest Ancient Trees Raw Puer: Highly Commended Dark Tea at The Leafies 2025 Wild Forest Ancient Trees White Tea 2014 Xi Gui Ancient Trees Raw Puer Tea We invite you to palate the mountains , where every cupful reflects nature, tradition, and devotion. THE LEAFIES: The only dedicated tea awards in the UK, launched by the UK Tea Academy in 2022 in collaboration with Fortnum & Mason, The Leafies promote integrity, excellence and collaboration within the international tea industry. There are only 8 spaces, so please book early. As a result, cANCELLATION POLICY: Due to the limited spaces, the booking fee is non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to another event date or redeemed on products but can be transferred to your friends by email us to confirm.
