Our specially selected grade Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea is chosen for its wonderfully long lasting and strong floral aromatic fragrance that is reminiscent of sweet lily and honeysuckle and orchids and it’s rich and creamy flavours that linger in your month for ages. In fact, this tea is refreshingly invigorating and energising. On the palate, the leaves are bright green and rolled into tight little balls, and when infused they produce an elegant light yellow liquor a with silky texture. The complexity of this tea is best enjoyed when exhaling through the nose while keeping a sip of the tea in the mouth. The strong floral fragrance will travel up through the nostrils enhancing the experience. What's more, our Tie Guan Yin makes an outstanding pick-me-up serving to have on the go when more energy is needed. Above all, the leaves can be enjoyed for multiple infusions and when infused in the gong-fu style you can fully appreciate the full characteristics of this complex tea. As a result, the plucked leaf (the top 3 – 4 open leaves with a stem) will be withered under sun for a short time and then moved to indoor for oxidization and rolling process forms tight pellets and create a complex range of flavours which slowly emerge when infused. On the palate, bREWING TIPS Normal Approach: Boiling water | 2 – 3g leave for 350ml | infuse for about 2-3 mins | refill as needed Gong Fu Approach: Water temperature: boiling water Tea leaf to water ratio: 8g for 160ml Warm all the tea vessel 1 st infuse for 30 secs 2 nd – 3 rd infuse for about 15 secs 4 th – 6 th infuse for about 30 secs 7 th - 8 th infuse for about 1 mins Please adjust the quantity of tea leaf buds, water and brewing time for your palate.
