Contraindications
heat caused by a deficiency of yin without stagnation ⚠️ In cases of severe heat, cooling herbs are added (Dan-zhi Xiao-yao formula)
Notes
The main formula for liver qi stagnation with spleen deficiency: it relieves irritability and tension while also supporting digestion and blood circulation. Preparation: Traditionally, it's a powder with mint and ginger added; nowadays, it's a decoction. Modifications: + Mudanpi and Zhizi → for stagnation that has developed into heat
